These are some pictures of us working as a group of the editing process of out documentary, radio trailer and poster advert. This demonstrate us working as a group and working efficiantly to ensure we could produce the best work we could.

This is the process we went through when editing our poster advert. We used Adobe Photoshop to do this.

Editing Process- Radio Trailer

This is the editing process of our radio trailer, it is fairly simple and it was easy to make and there was notmuch too it.

This shows the editing process of our documentary. It shows how we used new media technologies to produce a documentary for Channel 4.

Edit Decision List

 

The edit decision list allowed us to then pick certain material, that we had deemed worthy of using from the logging sheets, to use in our documentary. We had to carefully document what shot we were using and describe it. We then ensured it all fit together nicely and would produce a documentary that could be compared to professional media texts.

The EDL helped us greatly in staying on track when editing our documentary: however in the final production we made some minor changes, and strayed from the EDL slightly. This was because when we thought we had completed the documentary, we went back and looked through the logging sheets, to see if there was any more exciting footage in exchange for what we had chosen. We feel making the decision to change some of the original footage we chose was a good idea as our documentary fits together better as it is now.

 

 

 

 

 

Logging Sheet

 The logging sheet allowed us to take into account all the material we had filmed and decide whether we would include it in our documentary or not. This depended on whether we felt like the filming was good enough to use. Some things had to be filmed again, due to it either being filmed incorrectly, sound and/or lighting issues or if the interviewee didn't give a very good response to the questions asked.

Documentary Voiceover- Script.

Once we had finished editing our documentary we put together a voiceover script. We watched our edited documentary and decided where the voiceover needed to be and we conducted the script around certain parts of the documentary that needed voiceover.
